Madmad Canyoning is an Outdoor Adventure Company based in Rome that engages in canyoning activities in Central Italy, organizing paid one-day trips, weekend adventures, and training courses. The regions where we operate are Abruzzo, Umbria, Lazio, Molise, and Campania, but upon request, we can also include Trentino, Sardinia, and Corsica.
Our outings take place from mid-March to the end of October, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
In Umbria, our operational base is located at the Centro Rafting Marmore (42.552231955866006, 12.694026438961941).
In Lazio, our base is in Grotti di Cittaducale, just 10 minutes from Rieti (42.35588004071162, 12.950540904515947).

Our Company was founded in 2007, but some of us have been practicing canyoning for many years before that. Many of us also have long-standing experience in free climbing and mountaineering. Ropes, carabiners, harnesses, and rappelling into the void are tools and experiences we’ve been familiar with for a very long time.
By choosing us, you can rely on guides who not only know every meter of the canyons we offer but are also perfectly skilled in using the equipment and techniques required to ensure you have a wonderful day full of fun, surrounded by nature that will amaze you.
Canyoning in central Italy
In Central Italy, we at Madmad Canyoning offer a total of 15 canyons: 5 in Umbria and Abruzzo, 2 in Lazio and Campania, and 1 in Molise. These are canyons we have explored dozens and dozens of times, so we know them extremely well.
The reason we included them in our package is that they offer different levels of difficulty: easy, medium, and challenging. This allows us to organize outings suitable for almost anyone, even those who cannot swim.
Additionally, for those who want to practice canyoning continuously, these canyons provide an opportunity for a training path that allows you to gain excellent experience—certainly useful if you decide to attend a specific course without starting from scratch.
